Comac gave an interactive whiteboard to middle school in Bonate Sotto, winner of the PMI Day 2016 prize

On November, 19th, classes 3 A and 3 C of the Primary School “Clara Levi” in Bonate Sotto visited Comac in the context of the PMI Day, organized by Confindustria. Besides a tour of the company’s premises, where students were able to closely observe the production lines and technology applied, Comac wished to add some playful competition for the day.

Classes were split in 4 groups, based on section and gender, and completed a questionnaire with 15 questions relating to what was shown during the visit: at stake was an Interactive Whiteboard (IWB) donated to the school by Comac.

Last Monday, after a month’s wait, the winners were announced. Representing the Comac board were Giuliana Rossini (head of Human Resources) and Silvia Cimini (Marketing and Communication director) to award the winning class and give the prize.

The competition was exciting and the 3 C got it, only scoring 2 points up, although all the students had the pleasure to have their names pronounced loudly in front of their classmates.

By this initiative, Comac reaffirms, once again, its bond with all the parties on its territory and the importance of the social and educational function that is the essential condition in an important business reality.

For this reason, at the ceremony the mayor of Bonate Sotto, Mr. Carlo Previtali, the principal Mrs. Marta Bonacina and the teacher Mrs. Sara Crotti, in charge for the School Guidance area, were also present with their classes. Everybody underlined the importance of building networks, wishing this is the first step of a long path together.

The most important lesson for the students, though, was one: winning is fun, but getting a second place is not bad at all because this is as well what you need to get far, as the stories of some great sportsmen, shown on a video on that occasion, have taught us.
